I’ve been reading a lot on creativity lately, and the idea for this comic came to me during the chapter on collaboration in Jeff Goins’ Real Artists Don’t Starve. Creativity doesn’t happen in a vacuum, even if that’s what we artists have been taught forever. You draw on your influences, your friends, and your community to help make your art, even if you seclude yourself at times to finish it. It made me recall how many times I’ve taken a suggestion from my stream chat on a sketch or comic that turned out to be my favorite part of whatever I’d been working on. :) Here, Coconut has a simple suggestion to help break Momo out of artblock.
