Kyoot Creations: Holiday Edition!

By |2018-04-02T20:59:51+00:00December 25th, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas... And one of my favorite ways is with art. Since starting my daily sketches/paints in October, I've had a lot of fun developing my skills with copic markers and evolving as an artist. What better theme to work with than Christmas time? :) Below are several of the Holiday and winter themed illustrations I've done over the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy them as much [...]

Kyoot Creations Weekly Recap #4!

By |2018-04-02T21:08:26+00:00September 16th, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

You Draw, You Learn I've been learning a lot with my recent sketches. This batch is no exception. In the latter entries I started working with the gradient mesh tool and have quite a bit to absorb still. I want to make the scenes softer and find a good way to add more texture into each. I'll keep you posted on how that goes! An apple a day... School started recently, so I [...]

Kyoot Creations: Weekly Recap #3!

By |2018-04-02T22:05:44+00:00August 25th, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

The Jelly Bunnies wanted to do something nice for Momocheet... So they went to fetch some cherries because they are one of her favorite fruits. :) Working together is second nature to Jelly Bunnies as they are so small. This sketch was really fun to do. I was experimenting with composition here and really enjoyed how the colors came out. Let's Go Fly a Kite... Some time ago I did another Momocheet [...]

Kyoot Creations: Weekly Recap #2!

By |2018-04-02T22:11:30+00:00August 17th, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

I was trying to push myself with light and mood this week. The mission continues on and I'm continually challenging myself to try new things...to focus on strengthening different areas. It's an exciting game and I can't wait to see where art will take me this week. As for last week, here's the recap! Dandelion Fuzz Momocheet in a hazy meadow right near dusk. I had trouble getting the [...]

Kyoot Creations – Weekly Recap #1

By |2018-04-02T22:16:44+00:00August 10th, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

This past week was really exciting creatively. I've challenged myself to draw something new everyday. I am devoting an hour a day to finishing Berry's Story as well! Sometimes that favorite sweater is just what you need... And that is the reason that it's had a spot in your closet more set in stone than the castles in Europe. ;) The idea for this sketch came to me as I was holding mine, [...]

Mad Tux: Furry Road – Illustration Process

By |2018-04-03T22:26:35+00:00June 2nd, 2015|Blog, Illustration, Wallpapers|0 Comments

Mad Max: Fury Road hit theaters a few weeks ago and after hearing so many people rave about it, I had to go see it. Tuxie functions as an outlet for my cosplay needs and so this was probably inevitable. ;) But man was that movie great! It's fun to recognize Nicholas Hoult in movies these days too. No matter how many zombies, X-men, or heart throbs he plays, he'll always be Markus [...]

Copic Marker Character Portraits

By |2018-04-02T21:14:10+00:00January 22nd, 2015|Blog, Illustration|0 Comments

Though most of my work is digital these days, I still love traditional media. I like working with many different types: markers, paints, pencil, and ink among others. It's nice to break away from the computer, especially to a place where you are forced to become creative with mistakes you make. I learned so much painting acrylic signs one year, and was surprised how much of it transferred over to my digital work. [...]
